If you've been hunting for a new Ford, you might have come across vehicles listed as in-stock and others listed as in-transit. Both types of new vehicles are available for purchase, so what's the difference between them? It all comes down to what is currently on our lot and what is on the way. Dive into our overview to learn more.
In-Stock Vehicles
Vehicles that are in stock are the ones that we currently have available at our dealership. They're the models that you can come in and test drive right now, and you can put a purchase in motion right away if you're interested in buying.
Why spring for an in-stock vehicle? If you see something on our lot that appeals to you and you're eager to add a new car to your driveway, choosing an in-stock model is the quickest way to a new car. These models are here now and ready to go, so the wait time is minimal as far as getting through a purchase goes.
In-Transit Vehicles
In-transit vehicles are new models that are fresh from the factory and headed this way, but they're not here yet. Still, you can start the buying steps even if a vehicle isn't currently on our lot. The only catch is that since in-transit vehicles are en route and not here yet, you'll have to wait a bit longer.
Of course, being able to shop in-transit vehicles means that you have more choices that go beyond what is currently here at our dealership. So, buying an in-transit model is a fantastic opportunity to get exactly what you're looking for in a new Ford model.
